Land Rover is celebrating the sale of over 520,000 Range Rover Evoques with the launch of the new Ember Limited Edition as well as the introduction of improved technologies and options. As demanded by customers, the latest version of the Range Rover Evoque -- available in Coupe, Five-door and Convertible body styles -- now comes with greater connectivity with the addition of the next-generation InControl Touch Pro infotainment system.
This includes a 10.2-inch tablet-style pinch 'n' zoom touchscreen with streetview map options and a customizable home screen. This new InControl Touch Pro infotainment system optimizes in-car connectivity through offering quicker responses and more intuitive operation. This system – seen first on the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – will be offered as an option from 2017 model year on the Range Rover Evoque Coupe and Five-door.
Its 10.2-inch touchscreen features intuitive operation just like a smartphone through swipe, pan and pinch to zoom controls. Moreover, this touchscreen offers a 21:9 super-wide format with 1280x542 pixel resolution, representing an 80 percent increase over the standard eight-inch touchscreen found on the Evoque.
To celebrate its latest milestone, Land Rover is releasing the 'Ember' Limited Edition that builds on the elements of the Range Rover Evoque HSE Dynamic but with a more striking exterior and interior details wrapped in a red and black theme.
It features a body finished in Santorini Black and a roof in Firenze Red. This striking theme is boosted by complementing exterior design elements like the front and rear tow eye covers. According to Phil Simmons, Land Rover's Studio Director for Exterior Design Realisation, the goal was to give the Range Rover Evoque Ember Limited Edition a sporty feel by contrasting the intensity of the Firenze Red with Santorini Black.
This limited edition features the distinct 'EVOQUE' tailgate badging in black with a silver surround as well as Narvik Black 'RANGE ROVER' lettering on the bonnet. In addition, this limited edition comes with Black Pack elements like Satin Black 20-inch alloy wheels, Dynamic Narvik Black grille and Dynamic black exhaust finishers as well as darkened front and rear lights.
Inside, the Range Rover Evoque Ember Limited Edition features Ebony Black seats contrasted by Pimento Red stitch and complemented by black and red premium carpet mats as well as Gloss Black trim finishes. Customers could order the Range Rover Evoque Ember Limited Edition for a three-month period this summer.
On the other hand, Land Rover is introducing the Graphite Design Pack that should further enhance the exterior of Range Rover Evoque HSE Dynamic and Autobiography versions with extra elements like distinct 20-inch alloy wheels in Satin Technical Grey and Dynamic grille in Narvik Black with Satin Dorchester Grey Surround.
Its tow eye outer covers on the front and rear are also specified in Satin Dorchester Grey. HSE Dynamic models, meanwhile, have a black contrast roof, bonnet and tailgate lettering as well as Dynamic black exhaust finishers and darkened front and rear lights.
Meanwhile, the Autobiography flagship comes with black detailing on the bonnet louvres, door mirror caps and fog light surrounds as well as on its fender vents and tailgate finisher. Aside from these elements, there is a wide array of available exterior body colors – 18 overall – like Aruba, Farallon Black, Carpathian Grey and Silicon Silver premium metallic paint finishes.
The Range Rover Evoque is considered as one of the most desired and multi-awarded luxury compact SUV, receiving over 182 international awards since it was launched in 2011,
