5 world-class football players named ambassadors for Team Hyundai

Hyundai Motor Company, which is the top partner of UEFA EURO 2012, introduces Team Hyundai, which is a new initiative for the tournament this year. The team comprises five of the highly-praised world-class players in Europe namely Lukas Podolski of Germany, Iker Casillas of Spain, Karim Benzema of France, Daniel Sturridge of England and Giuseppe Rossi of Italy.

They will be serving as ambassadors for Hyundai through a series of marketing activities in line with the brand's campaigns and promotions for UEFA EURO 2012. Hyundai Motor Europe's Senior Vice President and COO Allan Rushforth disclosed that the five ambassadors will be competitors during the games, but they are "united by their passion for football," adding that "it's a great pleasure" to have them together for Team Hyundai.

He further stated that their talent and determination "sets them apart on the field." He also said that every player of Team Hyundai player has the "potential to be a game-changer" during the tournament this year. 

Team Hyundai will be an unvarying reminder to enthusiasts of the dynamism, passion and excitement that football inspires. Each Team Hyundai member has reached the top through continuous improvement and determination, matching closely with the automaker's achievements in the automobile market in Europe. 

Furthermore, Hyundai will also introduce a new charitable initiative in support of young people and players to fulfill their ambitions to become the future's game-changers. Football enthusiasts as well as followers of Hyundai will be invited to join the initiative, mirroring the automaker's commitment to constantly participate in a way that reflects the spirit of the game -- through inclusion and openness.
