Alfa Romeo Giuletta gets a TCT semi-automatic transmission

At the close of 2011, Alfa Romeo UK achieved a volume increase of 30.8%. With 11,563 new vehicles, the company also achieved its highest annual new registration figure since 2002. Kicking the market trend where carmaker's average volume dropped by 4.4%, Alfa Romeo gained the third biggest manufacturer volume percentage boost for the year. The company's success has been due to a variety of factors including its recent product range.

Enhanced dealer network also contributed to the company's success. The network now takes pride in its No. 10 position in the J.D. Power UK customer satisfaction survey. Other factors include the incentive offers and highly competitive finance available on each model.

The Alfa Giulietta hatchback and the sporty compact Alfa MiTo have aided the brand to gain more customers by being a trustworthy alternative to mainstream German competitors. In the United Kingdom, Alfa Romeo achieved sales of 7,113 Giuliettas last year. It has also sold more than 10,000 units since its introduction. In Europe, the company sold 80,000 units last year. Orders for the Giulietta worldwide have reached nearly 140,000 units.

Alfa Giulietta boasts of five-door practicality with the look of a coupè. It is still the safest automobile in its class. The MiTo and the Giulietta models take advantage for the award-winning MultiAir engine technology, Alfa Romeo's unique D.N.A system and five-star Euro-NCAP safety ratings.

This year, the technologically advanced ALFA TCT semi-automatic transmission is available in the Giulietta lineup for as low as £21,855 OTR. Available in Veloce or Lusso trim levels on the Giulietta, the new generation Alfa TCT with (Twin Clutch Transmission) dry dual clutch semi-automatic transmission is the benchmark in its class due to its effectiveness in balancing low fuel consumption, low emissions and high performance. It is integrated in the Giulietta with the 2.0 JTDM-2 170 bhp and 1.4 TB MultiAir 170 bhp engines.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta brings in a completely new platform called Compact. This all-new platform was designed to satisfy you in terms of road-holding, safety and agility. The car also ensures outstanding dynamic performance and superior comfort levels, thanks to the rigid and light structure that resulted from materials like high-strength steel and aluminium, the refined technical solutions that are used for the suspension, the avant-garde manufacturing techniques, and the new-generation steering system.

This Alfa DNA selector is a device that customizes the behavior of the vehicle to suit different driving styles and road conditions.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta’s new platform was designed to integrate different systems and to exploit these systems to the full, thus highlighting the three set-up functions that are available through the DNA selector: Dynamic, Normal, and All Weather. This device comes as standard on the new model’s entire range and was designed to improve the operating parameters for the gearbox, engine, steering system, and the Q2 electronic differential, aside from the behavior logic of the VDC or Vehicle Dynamic Control system.
