The new XF estate that Jaguar intends to launch in 2012 is obviously a sporting station wagon, as shown by CAR's artist's impression. The Jag XF wagon is basically a bodystyle derivative of the XF saloon but it has already been in the development phase for some time now. It isn’t scheduled to be seen at a motor show this year.
The reason for the delay of the Jaguar XF Estate (2012) is because a wagon bodystyle was not in the plans at the start.
Its engineers had to develop the XF estate from scratch. The project is more complex and thus, more expensive. This meant that during the holiday periods, Jaguar would have to tool up the Castle Bromwich plant in the production breaks. According to sources, the Jaguar XF estate is as long as the saloon, measuring 4961mm.
They will have the same overhang too. The XJ's wraparound rear pillars will be seen on the wagon too as the rump of Jaguar's second load lugger will be more striking than that of the X-type estate.
Even with these package limitations, Jaguar pledges that the XF estate will be as practical as the Audi A6 Avant and BMW 5-series Touring. However, it won’t be as large as the Mercedes E-class estate. It’s obvious why Jaguar is creating an XF estate. It is the top-selling Jaguar model, making up about 30,000 units annually. In the UK, the XF accounts for 80% of all Jaguar sales.

The Jaguar Drive Selector rises up from the center console while the rotating air vents help circulate the air as soon as you press the starter button. New instruments and seats
The front and back seats have been modified to include a hoop feature on the backrest and the squab, giving them a more beautiful look and allowing them to provide more support. There are new hide color combinations that you could choose from, including choices in headlining and veneers. These help you have a more personalized car! The center console, steering wheel and fascia also have changes to the color scheme, and now have the Aurora theme instead of the tungsten finish they had before.
The Jaguar XF makes use of a wide range of technology that works seamlessly with the car’s many functions. These are controlled via the seven-inch touchscreen monitor that features a polarising filter that gives you better contrasts.
The car also has additional switches that help lessen the work of the driver. These new switches are found below the monitor so that the driver can easily access them and switch between tow functions. The instrument cluster is now in full color as well.
