Arash AF10 supercar to make its debut at the 2010 MPH Show

Article by Christian Andrei, on September 13, 2010

The world premiere of the Arash AF10 supercar will be held at the upcoming MPH The Prestige and Performance Motor Show featuring Top Gear Live, according to British performance vehicle producer Arash Motor Company.

The event will take place between November 4 and 7 at Earls Court, London; and between November 11 and 14 at the NEC in Birmingham. Company founder, Arash Farboud, said that the AF10 has been in development for four years. He said that the company aimed to offer something different to the supercar segment.

He said that the AF10 has a “perfect design, without compromising on power,” and it also has “one of the best emissions levels in the world.” The supercar is powered by a naturally aspirated seven liter General Motors LS7 V8 engine that produces 550hp at 6,200 rpm and 475 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm.

The unit can be revved up to 7,000 rpm and works together with a six speed Graziano GT-ME1 gearbox. To boost performance, the vehicle gets a carbon-fiber modular chassis, a rollcage and lightweight fuel tanks made of aluminum, as well as ceramic brakes that use eight-piston calipers. The AF10 has a price tag of not less than 620,000 pounds.

“We wanted to bring something different to the supercar table, and felt that the industry needed a new and invigorating face and hopefully this is something we have achieved.

Combining perfect design, without compromising on power, plus having one of the best emissions levels in the world, the AF10 is set to be a fantastic new car for the market.” said company founder, Arash Faroud, in a statement.
