Arrinera debuts the Hussarya supercar

Article by Christian A., on April 1, 2014

Arrinera has just unveiled the Hussarya supercar and looks ready to take on cars such as the Ferrari 458 Italia or the Lamborghini Aventador. As you can see from the official renderings, the Hussarya looks quite impressive and its design is characterized by sharp and dynamic lines, which indicate its massive potential.

The front end features two large air intakes that were designed to direct the air flow to the hot brakes. Viewed from the side, the Hussarya is surprisingly asymmetrical as the passenger cabin is moved forwards, while the door line rises distinctively. At the rear, we find four round taillights fitted with LED technology but also unique muffler housings and a stylish air diffuser.

Under the hood of the 1,300 kg supercar, there is a GM-built 6.2-liter V8 engine that generates 650 hp and 820 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed Clima T906HE gearbox, able to transfer the torque value of 9000 Nm! According to the manufacturer, the Arrinera Hussarya is able to achieve a top speed of almost 370 km/h (229 mph) when using 20-inch wheels.

Regarding the performances of the car, the company says that the Hussarya hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.9 seconds and has a top speed of 340 km/h or 2011 mph.

Still, the production version is fitted with 19-inch wheels that create additional space for expanded braking system. Speaking of brakes, the front wheels are equipped with 6-piston calipers and 380 mm brake discs, while the rear wheels features 4-piston calipers and 350 mm brake discs.. The suspension was tapered, designed and developed by Lee Noble, a British entrepreneur known for its Noble supercars (he is currently a member of the supervisory board and a shareholder of Arrinera Automotive).

Moreover, the supercar comes with a thermal vision camera option that monitors the area in the front of the car at the distance of few hundred metres. When an object is detected and has a temperature that exceeds the ambient temperature the driver will see a bright and clear image of this object on a display located in the centreal console.

Other optional equipment includes a carbon interior package, carbon matt package, car audio premium package, LED package, brakes package, power package (engine tuned up to 700 hp, enlarged brake discs and callipers), track package (4-point seat belts, stiffened suspension, lower profile tyres, bucket seats made of carbon fibre) and the exclusive package (individual selected body colour, interior details, leather stitching, carbon fiber elements).
