Aston Martin is ready to sell the last units of the One-77 supercar in Asia

Article by Christian A., on December 9, 2010

Asian consumers are eagerly awaiting the One-77, Aston Martin's ultimate production car, as it embarks on its first ever tour of the continent. The One-77 represents Aston Martin’s technical prowess as well as its ambitions and values. The tour is set to begin at the Cirque Du Soleil Theatre in Tokyo, Japan, and it will proceed to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei and China.

Aston Martin considers the Asia Pacific market to be extremely important and to have considerable growth potential. Recently, the British marquee has expanded its dealership network in the region to 14.

The latest openings were held in China and Taiwan but there are plans to put up more dealerships. Throughout the globe, Aston Martin has a network of 126 dealers in 39 countries.

Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, is where the One-77 will be produced. The company claims that this sports car is superior to any of its other road cars due to its unequaled beauty and subtle aggression and performance.

In the last 9 months, Aston Martin has subjected the One-77 to a rigorous engineering test program. The “77” on the name signifies the number of samples that will be built.

The One-77 will have to go through the same engineering development process as the company’s other sports cars. This means that the vehicle will undertake extreme hot and cold testing and it will have to do well at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, known to be the world's toughest test track.
