Aston Martin opens its own store in Nurburgring

Article by Christian A., on August 29, 2010

Aston Martin will soon open its first dedicated merchandising shop – The Aston Martin Store Nürburgring. This new shop from Aston Martin allows fans and enthusiasts to further experience the British marque, thereby augmenting its existing Web-based store at astonmartin.com.

This new flagship shop is part of the renovations being undertaken at the German motorsports complex that aims to set up an all-year leisure and business center. Ulrich Bez, chief executive of Aston Martin, described the Nürburgring as a great race track that is rich in history.

He noted that Nürburgring has been a home for Aston Martin Test Center and has been a perfect testing ground for the carmaker's new products. He added that Nürburgring is also where Aston Martin has managed to achieve a number of racing feats, including when the Aston Martin V12 Vantage ruled its class at the 37th Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2009.

Interestingly, the Aston Martin Store Nürburgring is among over 20 shops dedicated to car brands and motor sports located in the heart of the so-called ‘Grand Ring Boulevard.’ This 240-square meter flagship store will be a place where fans and enthusiasts at Nürburgring could avail of the entire Aston Martin Collection, including fashion items for men and ladies as well as children.

This shop also sells accessories, luxury gifts, luggage or the Aston Martin 007 Range as well as team wear and other items of both the Aston Martin Racing collection and Hackett, London.

Aston Martin model cars from Minichamps of Germany are also available at the Aston Martin Store Nürburgring, which will be open daily from 10.00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. starting July 9.

Bez remarked that Aston Martin has been overwhelmed by the tremendous support from fans every time it visits Nürburgring. He quipped that new flagship store at the Nürburgring will offer Aston Martin fans a chance to be a little closer to the British marque.
