Engineering and economics graduates have chosen who their most attractive employer is. Taking the top spot in a ranking compiled by Universum and Trendence consulting institutes is Audi. In a statement, Werner Widuckel, member of the board for Human Resources, said that this survey means that the company has chosen the right method to become an admirable employer.
Widuckel also said that graduates select their employer based on a management culture that calls for respect [and] the sustained success of the Company.
He said that challenging job duties are important factors and that in financially difficult times like these, job security becomes more important. For now, Audi has entry-level and training programs for its future employees. Its vocational training provides instruction in 20 skilled trades.
In 2009, 722 people began Audi apprenticeships in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm, with 100 more apprenticeships to be offered this year.
At the end of a five-year study, a Bachelor of Engineering degree and dual-track education (StEP) offers certification as a mechatronics specialist or vehicle mechatronics specialist that was issued by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
