Article by Christian Andrei, on February 5, 2014

It appears that carmakers were focused on crossovers at the Auto Expo 2014. After Volkswagen unveiled the Taigun Concept and Chevrolet brought the Adra Concept, Honda revealed the Vision XS-1 Concept. Based on the Honda M/M (man maximum, machine minimum) concept the vehicle boasts a sporty exterior and amazing spaciousness in the compact body.

The design is based on Honda’s ‘Exciting H Design’ concept and according to the press release, the vehicle represents company’s creativity in designing compact vehicles whose market is growing all around the world. Key features of the Honda Vision XS-1 Concept are the three rows of seats for up to 7 passengers, sliding doors with large openings and the lack of B-Pillar.

Regarding the Honda M/M Concept, for those who don’t know, this is a basic approach of the Honda design that wants to maximize the space available for people and minimize the space required for mechanical components. According to Honda, there are no plans for a production version of this concept. [source: Honda]
