Bentley, Pon team up to open new Leusden dealership in the Netherlands

New Bentley dealership opens in Netherlands as automaker partners with Pon, a reputable company with more than 60 years of experience in the luxury vehicle market. The new dealership is located in Leusden, near Amsterdam. It is conveniently accessible from anywhere in the country. It provides a complete range of sales and after-sales services.

Moreover, it features all the services that discerning customers expect from the brand, including an exclusive ambience, workshop facilities and highly professional staff to help specify their vehicles. Pon's Automobielhandel is a part of Pon Holdings, which is one of the biggest family-owned businesses in the Netherlands. The country is a crucial market for automaker Bentley where sales are on the rise with a strong beginning to 2012. 

Furthermore, Bentley now has a remarkable new range of vehicle models, including the new Continental GT, GTC and the latest V8 model. Guillaume Chabin, who is Bentley's regional director for the European region, related that they have "developed and maintained strong links" with a "large number" of Bentley owners in Netherlands through many decades.

He also shared that Pon is "the perfect partner" to satisfy the "high expectations" of both the automaker's current and new customers. He shared that with the "extensive" experience in the vehicle business, the Bentley Leusden team is the "ideal" representative for the brand in the Dutch market.

Bentley’s new 4-liter, twin turbocharged Continental GT V8 coupé and Continental GTC V8 convertible have achieved outstanding power-to-emissions standards in their segment, the high luxury sports car segment.

This new Bentley V8 engine generates a power of up to 500 bhp at 6000 rpm as well as an extraordinary peak torque of 487 lb. ft. or 660 Nm, available across the 1700-5000 rpm rev range. These figures ensure an exhilarating performance and an effortless delivery of power in the traditional Bentley fashion. Plus, when combined with its new close-ratio 8-speed A/T or automatic transmission, this translates to a sub-5 sec. acceleration time from 0-60 mph and an over 180-mph top speed.

Meanwhile, Bentley’s new V8 Continental models meet excellent fuel efficiency and CO2 emission levels in the luxury performance sector. They are also capable of running over 500 miles on full tank. The official figures are going to be released in early 2012.

Additionally, with the arrival of these new V8 Continental models, Bentley is able to meet its environmental commitment to create a new powertrain, which delivers a 40% improvement in both fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions.

The new V8 engine boasts variable displacement using a very sophisticated engine management system, which ensures a smooth and imperceptible shift from V8 mode to V4 mode under light throttle load.

The high-tech V8 engine also features low friction bearings, high pressure direct injection, thermal management, innovative turbo charger packaging, and energy recuperation via charging system, all for greater efficiency.

Moreover, the new 4-liter V8 engine has an instantly recognizable growl that sets it apart from other Bentley engines.

Inside, the cabin showcases an Eliade cloth headlining, optional dual-tone leather color split, modern Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus veneers, and a short center console. All these give the interior a fresh, sporting design theme.
