In what could only be described as a rare occurrence, Bentley Motors embarked on a unique road trip across the United States. Known for its yearly tours featuring a Grand Touring car, Bentley Motors took on a different route and toured instead with Heritage Parts and Accessories.
Over 1,000 components that are meant to be sold to US fans of Bentley and Rolls Royce will be made available through the road trip. Thanks to the Bentley Heritage Roadshow bringing a thousand accessories directly from its UK plants, US consumers now have a chance to buy directly from the company.
This gives them the advantage of being able to acquire, if they are lucky, parts that are considered rare, and at a good price. They can also get assistance from the technicians and experts that travel with the Roadshow on how they can acquire the parts or accessories that they need.
The Roadshow is transporting not just any ordinary after-sales accessories for Bentleys and Rolls Royce cars. The consignment made available nearly everything, including V8 engines. Users’ manuals have also been produced for the benefit of those users whose manuals have already been lost after several years of owning Bentleys.
The company is even making available a three-year warranty on the parts. However, an accredited Bentley dealership has to install the part into a vehicle for the owner to qualify for the warranty. The Roadshow follows after an open door opportunity that allowed American owners of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars to visit the Bentley parts and accessories factory in Crewe.
The overwhelming response from the intended market influenced Bentley’s decision to embark on the very unique Roadshow, Steve O’ Hara, Bentley Motor Ltd.’s after-sale director, explained. In addition, O’Hara said, Bentley had noted that 80% of Bentley cars that rolled out of their manufacturing facilities continue to be functional.
Because families still experience the joy of riding and driving a fully functional Bentley, the company acknowledges that it has a responsibility to support the owners of these Bentleys by giving them access to customer service and parts they need to maintain their beloved vehicles.
Not that it was easy. O’Hara said that they have to spend 2 months touring the entire United States with a convoy carrying a thousand accessories and parts. Fortunately, the after-sales director for Bentley said, the roadshow received the support of Bentley dealers all across the United States. Bentley’s partners and associates are also in full support of the unique roadshow.
