BMW has launched a Value Service page to mark its two-year partnership with online shopping site eBay. The Value Service page is aimed at promoting the fixed priced servicing program for selected BMW models, thus giving customers an easier time finding good value and excellent service with BMW Dealers.
The Value Service page has recorded thousands of visits since its launch and has helped drive visitors BMW dealerships. The page shows servicing prices for selected 3 Series, 5 Series and X5 models, starting from £139 for an E46 Engine Oil Service. BMW was the first carmaker to partner with eBay and open a Direct Store on the platform, selling new and fixed price goods direct to customers.
Visits to BMW’s Direct Store average 45,000 per month, and visitors could access and purchase over 6,000 Genuine BMW items, like the Black BMW M Performance Kidney Grilles.
Andy Wilde, Aftersales E-Commerce Manager at BMW Group UK, remarked that the eBay environment provides BMW a “perfect access” to a customer base that tends to be disengaged with their Dealer Network. He added that through eBay, BMW has been able to optimize dialogue with this customer base offer relevant products, which are delivered to their door.
Wilde said that the launch of the Value Service page provides an “ideal opportunity to educate BMW owners within the eBay environment about this great offering.” BMW has also partnered with eBay outside the World Wide Web, with the eBay Motors BMW 125i M Sport BTCC touring car still competing at the 2013 BTCC Series.
