December is always a good month not only because of the Christmas shopping or all the parties but it is also a time when family and friends get to meet after a long while and take the time to catch up. For those who may have been working the whole year and may need just a little push in the right direction, Chevrolet is releasing an application for Facebook that will hopefully get fans to “Make It Happen” and make their dreams become a happy reality.
Chevrolet Europe President Wayne Brannon says that the brand has always been about the spirit of opportunity and optimism. Chevrolet had earlier launched a campaign during the early part of the year, he adds, and with this new application hopes that its fans will get the chance to experience the can-do spirit of the brand and therefore make the most of each opportunity and every day.
Through this application, fans will be able to gather not only family, but also friends in Facebook and create an event which has content and images that are related to their relationship history. By doing these different steps in an entertaining way, fans will be able to remind family and friend what it is they have been missing all along. Fans also get the chance to convince and support then to grab every opportunity presented to them.
Indeed with the Chevrolet, anything is possible. Generally what the application does is basically the same as a Facebook event. The difference is that it does all the work needed. The user could just drag and drop the friend or the family member to be invited. Next step involves choosing and then suggesting an activity to do like going out for coffee, eating out, going to the beach, watching a move, or anything else that may interest the group.
Once that is done, a date and time is chosen and the app will then make everything happen. This Facebook application is scheduled to go live today in countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Turkey, Spain, Poland, and the U.K. As incentive, Chevrolet will be choosing one fan for U.K. and France and will pay for the expenses of their suggested activity.
For the France winner, he/she will receive €1,500 with the U.K. winner getting £1,000. President Brannon continued by saying that the brand will make what it requested happen. The event could be celebrating an important birthday, connecting with long-lost friend from high school, or simply reconnecting with family members, he adds.
