Citroen unveiled the DS3 Cabrio Racing Concept ahead of 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Britain’s emblematic motor sports meeting. According to the official press release, the new concept car promises to combine the best of the Citroën DS3 Racing with all the sophistication of the DS3 Cabrio.
Weighing just 25 kg more than the hatchback, the DS3 Cabrio Racing Concept features a mat textured grey paintwork, gloss black 19-inch wheels, Black Chrome inserts on the handles, boot trim and door mirrors.
Moreover, the concept car features the DS pattern on the black canvas roof with its high-tech carbon-fibre look and engraved on the door mirror housings, while the Carmin color is found on the brake callipers, wheel hubs, doors with the wide side strips, and parts of the lettering and badge.
Under the hood, there is a 1.6-liter engine developing 202 bhp. Inside, the Citroën DS3 Cabrio Racing comes with bucket seats featuring a new take on the DS watch strap design in three types of fabric (Napa full-grain leather, DS-embossed leather and Alcantara), special DS pearl top-stitching, featured in Carmin for the first time on the seats, dashboard and gearshift.
