Citroen refreshes the C3 Picasso

Article by Christian Andrei, on December 12, 2012

Citroën has installed several upgrades for the C3 Picasso, its very in-demand and highly awarded supermini MPV. This model, which already boasts prominent styling and innovative architecture, received new design features and body colors as well as more optional technology. Citroën has already started selling in the UK, with a price tag of only £12,995 OTR.

Among the new exterior styling features are a modified front bumper and the newest Citroën chevrons on all versions, along with the integration of LED daytime running lights for a new appearance on VTR+ and Exclusive models. Citroën also started offering two stunning body colors: Ink Blue and Pearlescent White.

The interior has a flexible, airy and roomy cabin that was upgraded with a stylish new trim named Mistral ‘Mixou’ cloth, which is available as standard equipment on all VTR+ models. It also comes with the option of a new ‘Claudia Mistral’ full black leather upholstery on Exclusive models. The options list now includes Citroën’s new eMyWay satellite navigation system with additional functionality over the previous MyWay system, but at no additional cost.

In addition, eMyWay can be specified with a reversing camera and rear parking sensors to make maneuvering easier. An electro-chrome rear view mirror was added to C3 Picasso’s Automatic Pack option for free.

The refreshed C3 Picasso features new 15-inch ‘Asterodea’ wheel covers as standard on VT versions. Furthermore, Citroën boosted the power output of the HDi 110 engine on the C3 Picasso Exclusive and has given it a new name as the “HDi 115.” Notably, the slight power hike from 82kW to 84kW doesn’t influence the model’s fuel economy or CO2 emissions level.
