Citroën’s DS3 Ultra Prestige is now on sale in the UK

Citroën is now selling its DS3 Ultra Prestige in the UK just months after it unveiled the model at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show to celebrate the car’s sales success. The DS3 Ultra Prestige is a blend of sophisticated style and premium specification of the DS line. The DS3 Ultra Prestige retains the DS line’s trademark – front seats with “watchstrap” design seat upholstery in “Club” leather.

The front seats also don a new “crescendo” effect, in which the color changes from white at the top to black at the base. The car’s dashboard strip is covered in “Alpine” white leather, embossed with the DS signature.  The dials’ color matches the white interior detailing. The DS3 Ultra Prestige also has ultra-thick protective mats, with double top-stitching in contrasting colors.

DS3’s door panels and central armrest are also fitted with leather trim. On the exterior, DS3 Ultra Prestige is available in two body colors, Polar White and Thorium Grey.

The car is fitted with a sports spoiler, dark-tinted side and rear windows, and 17” charcoal-grey alloy wheels. The car’s black roof is covered with the ‘Ultra Prestige’ graphic with the DS insignia. Citroën is offering a ‘Dark Chrome Signature’ option, which offers black door mirrors with dark chrome base and side rubbing strips.

The option also features front grille surround, front fog light surrounds and an insert on the rear plate moulding. DS3 Ultra Prestige is available in two variants – a petrol THP 155 petrol version and a diesel e-HDi 110 Airdream type. Citroen's DS3 Ultra Prestige is available with a starting price of £20,700.

Citroën DS3 is available with a great many options allowing the customer to personalise it to their very own taste.

With an array of colours available for the body, the DS3's 'floating roof' can also be modified with the option of it being in contrast to the main colour of the car. Incidentally, the optional colours are black, blue, red and white. Other personal changes include the side mirrors, available in the standard colours or a chrome finish, the wheels and their centres which can be in any of the main colours.

The personal touches continue inside the DS3 with the option of six different finishes for the dashboard strip, including the instrument panel, the onboard screens, the scented air freshener and the air vents.

Modern fabrics, a combination of fabric and leather, are available in a variety of different trims, as can the gear lever, which has the additional option of a chrome finish, leather and an assortment of colours.

A satin-textured finish is available in select parts of the cabin, including the gear lever and Citroën has even designed the key fob to be available in a colour to match your bodywork preference.

Citroën has worked hard to ensure that its customers not only get what they want in terms of design but this consideration extends to the engine too. The DS3 comes with a variety of different engines, in particular these CO2-efficient Euro V power plants include three petrol models they developed in collaboration with BMW and two of their own HDi diesel ones. As a result, customers get not only performance but also incredible fuel efficiency.

The diesel models are available with either 90 bhp or 110 bhp and have the Diesel Particulate Filter System installed. The modified petrol engines are available as either VTi 95, 120 or THP 150. All of which have been fitted with manual 5 or 6 speed gearboxes.
