The latest improvement on the Ferrari 599, which is called the Handling Grand Turismo Evoluzione (HGTE), was initially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last March. The intention of the HGTE is to offer a sportier and more active driving experience.

Included in the technical modifications are a revised arrangement with stiffer springs and rear anti-roll bar together with a new calibration setting for the magnetorheological shock absorbers when the manettino is set to its sportier settings.

The car's center of gravity was lowered with the reduction in ride height. For better grip, the tires were optimized with special compounds.

Also enhanced are the electronic components of the cars for improved response. Included in the enhancements are faster F1 gearbox when set in high-performance settings, new engine software strategy for improved accelerator response.

The result is a sprint rate of 3.7 seconds from standstill to 100km/h and a new lap time of 1 min 26.5 seconds for the famous Ferrari Fiorano test track, which is about 1.5 seconds slower than the road-legal F430 Scuderia racecar, which is lighter and stiffer in contrast.

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is truly a benchmark among sports cars in terms of performance. Now, Ferrari is offering to further boost the capabilities of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano with an emphasis on handling and sportiness. To this effect, the Italian sports car maker is launching the new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE (Handling Gran Turismo Evoluzione) package, which includes a modified set-up with a stronger rear anti-roll bar and stiffer springs.

Moreover, this package includes new calibration settings for the magnetorheological shock absorbers when the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is specified with sportier settings. The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE package lowers the vehicle's ride height, which effectively lowers its center of gravity, helping enhance body control.

Moreover, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE package includes optimized tires made from a compound that provides better grip. Additionally, the package features a more developed electronics that guarantees the vehicle's quick and prompt responses.

Likewise, the package features an F1 gearbox that allows for faster shifts in high-performance settings, as well as a new engine software strategy for improved accelerator response. Furthermore, the new Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE package comes with a modified exhaust silencer for a more pronounced and exhilarating sound.

Of course, the package would not be complete without any styling modifications for both the exterior and interior of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. For instance, the exterior is fitted with 20-inch split-rim wheels with a special diamond-cut and matte silver finish.

It also fitted with rear diffuser in matte black that highlights the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano's modified set-up and its chromed tail pipes. Inside, the cabin is blessed with the combination of full-grain leather, carbon-fiber trim and black Alcantara.

It features new seats trimmed in leather with black Alcantara inserts, while the seat backs feature carbon fiber trim. Meanwhile, the headrest features the Prancing Horse logo and the words "Handling GTE," both embroidered in contrasting stitching.
