Ferrari theme park opened its gates in Abu Dhabi Wednesday for a sneak preview

In Abu Dhabi last Wednesday, the world's first Ferrari theme park and the world's biggest indoor theme park, opened its gates, giving visitors a sneak preview before it officially opens this October. The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is of course inspired by the luxury Italian sports car and racing teams.

In this park on Yas Island, expect to see 20 Ferrari-inspired attractions including rides, a 4D fantasy adventure, a racing academy, children's play area, restaurants offering Italian cuisines and various other shops.

This theme park also features the world's fastest rollercoaster ride which can reach a speed of 240km per hour, giving riders an idea of how it feels to be in a Formula One car.

Park manager Andy Keeling said that they don't expect only to get Ferrari fans but a variety of visitors as well, since it is the first of its kind in the United Arab Emirates.

In an interview with Reuters Television, Keeling said that visiting the theme park is "very affordable." The park truly stands out, especially with its 200,000m square, sleek red roof, which is believed to be inspired by the double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT car body and carries the largest Ferrari logo created.

The world’s racing-inspired theme park in Abu Dhabi, Ferrari World, introduced to the public in August of 2010 a host of rides and attractions meant for children of all ages. It might not have been obvious to the most casual of observers, but the managers of Ferrari World have taken great steps for the more than 20 state-of-the-attractions made available to the public to be centered on the entirety of Ferrari’s history.

As a result, each of the rides bring a piece of the actual experience of riding a Ferrari F1 car: the most glaring example of which is the rollercoaster, taking passengers through a thrilling ride at more than 200 kilometers per hour.

With these attractions at hand, Ferrari World is set to become one of the best global tourist destinations in the Middle East. In addition to the Ferrari-themed rides, the theme park also features a number of excellent accommodation as well as entertainment establishments.

Tourists can enjoy more than thrilling theme park rides in Ferrari World. There are venues for Italian dining – a nod to the company’s European country of birth – as well as for shopping.

Even the location bears importance: racing is very popular in the United Arab Emirates, with Abu Dhabi sitting at the center of the world and bridging the Asian, European and African continents. Developed and owned by Abu Dhabi’s Aldar Properties PJSC, the theme park is located on Abu Dhabi’s northeastern island of Yas.

Aldar Properties PJSC teamed up with ProFun Management Group Inc. to create the spin-off company Farah Leisure Parks Management LLC to create an entity to shoulder the management and operation of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
