GEM Motoring Assist launches new iPhone and Android App

Article by Christian A., on October 26, 2011

GEM Motoring Assist, the No.1 for breakdown coverage, has unveiled its new Android and iPhone App that provides customers with more peace of mind and assistance. Available for free on iTunes and the Android market, the new App with user-friendly menu has crucial tools like ‘Traffic Updates’, an ‘Assist Me’ GPS locater and handy Renewal tab.

Breaking down in a strange place could be difficult, but with the new GEM App, drivers can have the roadside assistance they need in case the car breaks down. Aside from the "Assist Me" button finding a motorist's exact location, it also allows them to communicate with the GEM Motoring Assist contact centre.

Moreover, the "Traffic Update" button enables drivers to see traffic notifications for the journey and plan their route to steer clear of congested zones, road works and accidents. In addition, the "My Renewals" function tells drivers when their motoring coverage is up for renewal to ensure full cover at all times. Once the app is downloaded, customers can enter their renewal details.

They will get a diary reminder three weeks prior to the renewal date of their coverage, car insurance, road tax, MOT and car services. The App is also beneficial for staying on top of the latest GEM Motoring Assist news, enabling members to read various articles and get involved in polls and competitions with the "Good Motoring" page. With all this information in one location, this App is an essential tool for drivers.
