MIRA Ltd and GEVCO Ltd announced today that they are working on the development of a technologically advanced electric vehicle that promises to compete with petrol and diesel-powered equivalents.

Furthermore, the companies unveiled the Global Electric Vehicle (GEVCO) Concept as well as a new engineering strategy capable of bringing it to market.

Moreover, the companies want to create a series of electric vehicle platforms with multiple applications. What is really interesting is that the vehicles are set to incorporate lightweight, recyclable materials as well as the next-generation powertrain and energy storage technologies.

The new model revealed today promises to reduce the cost and risk of entry into the competitive e-motive sector and the manufacturer says that the car will enable new firms to sell exciting range of affordable, frugal vehicles in any territory.

MIRA CEO Dr George Gillespie said: “Today marks the start of an exciting chapter in the development of a new generation of electric vehicles. Over the coming months a joint MIRA / GEVCO team, based at our global headquarters in Leicestershire, will be applying the advanced technologies and designing concepts capable of meeting global homologation as well as market specific needs.”
