Infiniti announced today the pricing for the 2013 IPL G Convertible, the IPL G Coupe, the Infiniti G Coupe and the Infiniti G Convertible. For those interested in a IPL G Coupe, the base price for this model is $50,500 (for the model fitted with the 6-speed manual transmission), while the model fitted with the 7-speed automatic transmission will cost $52,400.

The most expensive model will be the IPL G Convertible, which will cost $60,600. Each model will be powered by the 3.7-liter V6 engine delivering 343 hp in the model fitted with the 7-speed automatic transmission and 348 hp in the model fitted with the 6-speed manual transmission.

In terms of design, the convertible model will get IPL-tuned exhaust and suspension, 19-inch IPL aluminum-alloy wheels, three-piece retractable hardtop and Stone or Monaco Red leather-appointed interior and climate-controlled front seats as well as two exterior color - Malbec Black or Moonlight White.

The coupe model will get an unique interior featuring a dramatic front and rear bumper/fascia design with integrated fog lights and black finishers, sculpted side sills, rear spoiler and exclusive 19-inch IPL split 7-spoke graphite-finish wheels.

The 2013 Infiniti G Coupe will start at $39,800, for the Journey model using a 7-speed automatic transmission. The Infiniti G37X Coupe AWD will cost you $41,450 while the Infiniti G37 Coupe Sport 6MT will cost $44,900. Each model will be powered by the 3.7-liter V6 engine delivering 330 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The Infiniti G37 Convertible will be priced from $47,200 while the model G37 Convertible Sport 6MT will cost $52,000.

Infiniti Performance Line is composed of premium performance models with the first one to be released known as the IPL G Coupe. This model set the example for what would become the design principle of the IPL range which is total vehicle performance. However, it was not limited performance as it is expected to have distinct qualities that matched with exclusive features for both the exterior and the interior.

These are the selling points and it remains true with the second model coming out, the 2013 Infiniti IPL G Convertible. On the outside, it has a number of parts that have been styled to enhance aerodynamics as well as having new exhaust and the aluminum-alloy IPL 19-inch wheels. Under the hood is the IPL-tuned V6 engine and then there is the new suspension.

On the inside are a number of leather-appointed features. It also comes with the retractable three-piece hardtop of the G Convertible. Since the IPL G Convertible is mainly based on the Infiniti G37 Convertible, it comes equipped with the advanced 3.7-liter VQ37VHR V6 engine. The new model still has the engine management system though this has been recalibrated by optimizing both the ignition timing and the air-fuel mix.

The brand also managed to increase the maximum output to 7,400 rpm. Infiniti Americas Vice President Ben Poore shared that the Infiniti Performance Line has always been about testing the limits on the ultra-high sports series concept. Through the IPL, he added, the brand is able to offer premium performance for customers who want a different level of exclusivity and the driving excitement that goes along with it. He continued by saying that the IPL has these features but puts it in an Infiniti twist.

Poore said that the IPL G Convertible is similar to other models that Infiniti has released in that it takes a different road compared to its rivals. He continued by saying that the retractable hardtop for example was designed in a way that it would look good no matter how it is positioned, down or up. The new model is not only a good addition for the lineup but it also takes the Infiniti G Convertible to even greater heights, Poore said. The 2013 IPL G Convertible will go on sale starting in the spring of 2012.
