Infiniti will enter the Australian market during the third quarter of 2012. It will mark its debut in the country with a retail and service network that consists of three centers found in major east coast cities (Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane).
Infiniti’s lineup that will be initially offered in Australia includes the FX crossover, G37 convertible, G37 coupe, and the M saloon. Dan Thompson CEO, Infiniti Cars Australia, said that in Infiniti’s plan to expand worldwide, Australia is a “mandatory next step.”
He said that the Australian market will soon get luxury vehicles that offer the unique combination of “inspired performance, attentive hospitality and unparalleled quality.” Kevin Snell will be handling Infiniti’s Australian operations.
He is in the process of building a team for the upcoming development. Snell said that Infiniti’s cars are a “clear alternative” to the traditional premium models. He boasted that Infiniti’s models will be underpinned by its promise of "Inspired Performance" and the outstanding service and attention at its Infiniti Centres.
Infiniti will be made stronger in Australia by Infiniti Financial Services, a financial sector. Composed of experts in automotive financing, this team will hold its operations in Victoria where its head office is located. Infiniti Financial Services is particularly focused on the premium segment and will provide ground-breaking products and services to individuals and companies alike, in traditional credit and leasing.
For its arrival in Australia, Infiniti started to bring together a team of professionals with a background on luxury consumer products and automobiles and who specialize in giving an excellent luxury brand experience.
Aside from General Manager Kevin Snell, the Infiniti Cars team of founding members in Australia will consist of Sales & Marketing Manager Andrew Millar (formerly part of Swatch Group); appointed National Retail Performance Manager Nick Parkington (formerly part of AWB Landmark organization), appointed Digital Marketing & CRM Manager Mark Grier (formerly part of BMW Group) and appointed Product & Sales Planning Manager Zac Loo (formerly part of Mercedes Benz Group).
Infiniti Cars Australia has started formal discussions with some outstanding automotive retailers who have the same passion for luxury cars and excellent customer service, to collaborate with the brand as initial retail partners in 2012.
