It appears that Nissan made the move of the year as it announced today that former chief of Audi of America will be appointed as senior vice president of Nissan Motor Company in charge of the Infiniti division. Starting July 1, Johan De Nysschen will report to Andy Palmer, Nissan Motor Company Executive Vice President, product planning, business strategy, marketing communications and responsible for the Infiniti division.

De Nysschen will work at the brand new Infiniti’s new global headquarters in Hong Kong, which officially opened on May 22. For those who don’t know, De Nysschen worked for Audi for 19 years and served in executive positions in South Africa, Japan and most recently as President of the brand's American operations.

He currently holds a bachelor's degree from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, and an MBA from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
