Jaguar introduces 2015 XK Signature and Dynamic R editions in the UK

Article by Christian Andrei, on January 25, 2014

For the 2015MY, the Jaguar XK received two special edition models in exclusive Signature and Dynamic R specifications. The 2015 Jaguar XK Luxury model is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine rated at 385 PS as well as 515 Nm of torque and with these numbers the vehicle hits 60 mph in 5.2 seconds in Coupe guise and in 5.3 seconds in Convertible guise (100 km/h in 5.5 seconds for the Coupe and 5.6 seconds for the Convertible).

Top speed for both variants is electronically limited to 155 mph or 250 km/h, while CO2 emissions are 264 g/km. Moreover, both models use the six-speed ZF automatic gearbox with steering wheel-mounted paddles. The 2015 Jaguar XK Signature comes as standard with Luxury seats available in Ivory or Charcoal soft grain leather.

The interior also features Canvas Suede cloth headlining, Figured Ebony veneers and Bright Metal sport pedals. The exterior design is completed by the 20-inch Kalimnos wheels, while 20-inch Takoba wheels are available as an option. Both the XK Signature and Dynamic R editions are available with a choice of exterior body colours – Polaris White, Ultimate Black, Stratus Grey, Italian Racing Red, Dark Sapphire and British Racing Green.

Meanwhile, the 2015 Jaguar XK Dynamic R is based on the existing XKR, which means it is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 that develops 510 PS and 625 Nm of torque. As a result, this model hits 60 mph in 4.6 seconds (100 km/h in 4.8 seconds) and has a top speed of 174 mph or 280 km/h (electronically limited). Extremely powerful but also efficient, the XK Dynamic R emits 292g/km of CO2.

The supercharged XK Dynamic R Edition also comes with Jaguar's Active Differential Control technology, which uses a multiplate clutch to vector torque to the driven wheel with the most grip. As standard, this vehicle comes with the Black Dynamic Pack, which ads a stiffer knuckle for improved steering precision, uprated spring and damper settings and Jaguar’s Adaptive Dynamics system, which performs three main functions; controlling vertical body movement, roll and pitch rates.

And this is not all as the XK Dynamic R also comes as standard with the Speed Pack, which increases the maximum speed from 155mph to an electronically limited 174 mph. The pack includes a body-coloured Aerodynamic Pack with front splitter and larger rear spoiler, as well as a body-coloured rear diffuser and side sill extensions.

A Performance Active Exhaust is also fitted as standard. Inide, we find new diamond sewn Performance seat in either Ivory/Charcoal soft grain leather with Ivory contrast stitch or Charcoal/Red soft grain leather with Red contrast stitch leather. The interior Jet Suedecloth headliner is complemented with Piano Black veneers. Bright Metal sport pedals are also fitted as standard.

The exterior design is completed by 20-inch Vortex diamond turned wheels with distinctive Red painted brake calipers. As an option, Jaguar offers the 20-inch Vulcan Gloss Black lightweight alloys. XK Signature is priced at £54,950 with XK Dynamic R on sale at £69,950 on-the-road. [source: Jaguar]
