The new Jeep Grand Cherokee offers premium on-road performance while also maintaining the brand's legendary 4-wheel-drive, towing capability, and torque-on-demand 2-speed transfer case. Moreover, it offers up to 11% improved fuel economy as well as a world-class interior cabin.
According to Scott Kunselman, VP for Jeep/Truck Product Team at Chrysler LLC, they carefully listened to customers, which is why their all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee is able to hit the spot when it comes to legendary class-leading Jeep capability and premium on-road performance.
Additionally, the vehicle’s Quadra-Lift air suspension system gives you legendary Jeep off-road capability while its new Selec-Terrain system allows you to pick the drive system that perfectly matches the on-road or off-road driving conditions. Also, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee has new front/rear independent suspension systems that promise premium on-road handling and utmost comfort.
The new Jeep Grand Cherokee has been built on a rear-wheel-drive unibody platform that’s been tested and proven and that shares similar underpinnings to that of Mercedes-Benz ML.
Mike Accavitti, Director at Jeep, Chrysler and Dodge Brands, said that Jeep created the SUV segment and that its all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee will be the next stage in the SUV’s evolution. He added that what separates the Jeep from its competitors are its innovations, such as the Quadra-Lift air suspension and the Selec-Terrain traction control.
