Jota Mazda MX-5 GT goes on sale in the UK

Yesterday, we revealed you the fact that the MX-5 GT will not be available as an official Mazda product and will be sold instead by Jota. As a result, Jota revealed today the official info and specs of the Mazda MX-5 GT. First shown at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed as a concept, the Mazda MX-5 GT is not available for customers and will be sold by the Le Mans race specialists Jota and through prominent Mazda dealer Lodge Garage in Aylesbury.

Based on the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2.0-liter Sort Tech, the Jota Mazda MX-5 GT is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine developing 203 bhp. Using the total amount of power, the MX-5 GT sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.4 seconds and has a top speed limited at 140 mph or 225 km/h.

Moreover, the Jota MX-5 GT comes with uprated Bilstein dampened suspension, anthracite alloy wheels, a rear carbon fiber and Recaro leather seats. Priced at £29,995, the Jota MX-5 GT is available three colours, white pearl, true red and aluminium silver metallic, all with a brilliant black roof. For those who want even more, Jota offers the option of a carbon rear boot lip spoiler, a carbon front splitter and a road and track Öhlins suspension kit.
