Kia GT4 Stinger Concept will see a production version later this year

Article by Christian A., on February 4, 2014

If you liked the Kia GT4 Stinger Concept that was unveiled last month at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, we have great news for you: the vehicle will enter production and will hit the dealerships later this year. According to TopSpeed, Kia finalized the exterior design of the car and the good news is that it will look almost identical to the concept we saw in Detroit.

Still, the interior is in development but will not see any dramatic changes from the concept. There are no details regarding the engine that will be found under the hood, but there are big chances to see the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine used by the 2014 Kia Optima SX. If on the Optima SX the 2.0-liter engine delivers 274 hp and 269 pound-feet of torque, with some tweaks the engine it may deliver over 300 hp.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline direct injected (T-GDI) four-cylinder engine delivers 315 hp and is bolted to a six-speed manual transmission that sends all that power to the rear wheels. Although there are no official info regarding the debut, we do expect the stylish coupe to show up in the final quarter of 2014, possibly at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show!
