KTM X-Bow receives winter proof clothing

Article by Christian A., on August 29, 2010

From the inauguration of the KTM X-Bow in the middle of 2008, the revolutionary, lightweight, mid-engined concept with its attractive carbon fiber monocoque has allured considerable attention from both buyers and the press. It has been given numerous awards, the latest of which is the "Sportscar of the Year" from the publication of Top Gear.

There's no more waiting until spring for those who wish to experience KTM's first sportscar: just in time for winter, the top down sportscar has been rendered winter proof!

To aid with getting that perfect 4-wheel glide through the immaculate white winter wonderland, there are lots of accessories from the KTM PowerParts and PowerWear collections to select from.

Pirelli Sottozero snow rubbers are offered, with central locking as well as with five bolt rims. For courageous drivers that like their thrills to be more on the extreme side, a common trait of X-Bow buyers, snow chains are also offered, which are of course homologated and guaranteed good traction under the most severe weather conditions.

Drivers are frost-protected with advanced clothing by Schaffel and a helmet by Schuberth, all individually designed for winter wear in the X-Bow.

The whole set, which consists of helmet, jacket and trousers, is offered beginning at 950 Euros. And once the excitement is over, the X-Bow also is permitted to get into its winter-safe attire which is an indoor blanket that is available from 380 Euros, and for ski-lift car-park protection available also is an outdoor cover that starts at 325 Euros.
