LaCie and Porsche Design unveil the P’9220/P’9230 hard drives

LaCie and Porsche Design have once again come together to launch the LaCie Porsche Design Mobile (P’9220) and Desktop (P’9230) Hard Drives. These are the latest addition to the exclusive P´9000 electronics category.

It was in 2003 that the two had their first collaboration. The new products feature an elegant aluminum frame that supports the immense functionality of the hard drive.

The products use durable and scratch-resistant aluminum, keeping the hard drive mechanics safe.Each frame is precise. The aluminum acts as a heat regulator, ensuring performance.

It is also 100% recyclable. In addition, the LaCie Porsche Design Mobile and Desktop Hard Drives use the USB 3.0 technology, which is quicker by three times when compared to USB 2.0.

They both have software that could be easily installed on the drive on the PC and Mac. The package includes backup software, to guarantee that all the digital assets are completely backed up.

Other highlights are eco mode for power savings, password protection to make the files secure as well as 10 GB of Wuala secure online storage.

Consumers can choose either the 500GB or 1TB capacities for the LaCie Porsche Design Mobile Hard Drive (P’9220). In addition, the worldwide Porsche Design Stores will be exclusively offering a 750GB model. The LaCie Porsche Design Desktop Hard Drive (P’9230) is available in either 1TB or 2TB capacities.
