Once again, Automobili Lamborghini is creating a big wave in the global super sports car market. This time, it is with the launch of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4. After all, the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is an embodiment of pure dynamic power, extremely precise handling, superior design, remarkable lightweight engineering and very finest equipment. The new Aventador LP700-4 builds on Lamborghini’s glorious history while aiming to provide its drivers with unparalleled driving experience. As it is, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is uniquely a technological wonder in several ways.
For instance, the Aventador LP700-4 is powered by a new high-revving 6.5-liter 12-cylinder engine that provides 515 kW (700 hp) in output as well as remarkable low-end torque. Moreover, it is underpinned by a carbon-fiber monocoque, which makes its not only light, but also extremely stiff and safe. This element leads to an extremely low dry weight of just 1,575 kilograms (3,472 lbs). As a result, the new Aventador LP700-4 boasts a weight-to-power ratio of only 2.25 kilograms per hp (4.96 lb/hp).
Amazingly, this translates to a dynamism proven true by the vehicle’s ability to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h acceleration in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). While the new Aventador LP700-4 is around eight-percent more powerful than its predecessor, its fuel consumption and carbon emissions are lower by around 20 percent. Power is sent to the wheels through the ISR transmission that features a very quick shifting time of only 50 milliseconds as well as a highly emotional shift feel.
Other high-tech elements of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 include its lightweight chassis and the TFT cockpit display with Drive Select Mode system. Lamborghini plans to build the new Aventador LP700-4 at its new production facility in Sant'Agata Bolognese in Italy. The carmaker will commence delivery of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 to its first customers in late summer 2011.
