Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 available for rental for $4,995 a day

Who wouldn’t want to drive around with the highly powerful, extremely light, and breathtakingly beautiful Lamborghini LP-700-4 Aventador? But even if you could afford to own one, there are other things to consider like the daunting depreciation and the high maintenance costs and insurance premiums. Black & White Car Rental’s newest exotic car acquisition is expected to appeal to this specific market.

Located at the Los Angeles airport, Black & White adds the Lamborghini LP-700-4 Aventador to its fleet that already has the Ferrari 458, several Mercedes-Benz models, and daily-driving models like the Toyota Camry.

Dan Darvish of Black & White said that the Lamborghini LP-700-4 Aventador isn’t its “bread and butter” but then it’s “definitely something that no one else has.” Darvish said that a new Aventador is priced between $50,000 and $75,000 over a sticker price of $387,000.

There’s also a wait of 18 months before the car could be delivered. Renting only costs a small fraction of its price tag and the car could be used the next day. Of course, renting it is not cheap at $4,995 each day (about 1% of total price).

Darvish shared that the rental firm has already received one booking for one whole month by a regular customer. According to Rob Ferretti, COO of Gotham Dream Cars, an exotic-luxury-car rental operation based in New York, many clients prefer to rent because of the “headaches of ownership.” He pointed out the “cost of convenience,” adding that many consumers would pay extra to avoid dealing with maintenance, insurance, repairs, and concerns about resale values.
