2014 Lexus CT 200h Facelift gets a price tag of £20,995 in the UK

Lexus is offering a number of upgrades to the CT 200h range, including improvements in styling, handling and equipment. Complementing the upgrades are significant cuts in prices and attractive finance options. The 2014 CT 200h S entry level S model is priced at £20,995, representing a £1,000 cut. Other five variants in the range have their prices trimmed up to £1,500.

The 2014 CT 200h is also available with excellent finance offers: the new CT 200h S can be availed from just £219 per month, while the high-spec Advance model can be availed from £259 per month via Lexus Business Drive contract hire. Aside from the affordable prices, the CT 200h boasts of exceptional fuel efficiency.

Across the CT 200h range, CO2  emissions were all below the 100g/km threshold, and in fact, the S version boasts of a new class-leading low of 82g/km – which means the range carries no charge for annual Vehicle Excise Duty. Business owners also get the lowest band for benefit-in-kind taxation, at 10 per cent for the first year.

Thanks to the smooth and refined performance of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system that powers the CT 200h, a user can keep his fuel bills low, as the car has official combined cycle consumption figures of 78.5mpg for the S grade, and 68.9mpg for the other models in the range. Lexus will unveil later the full details of the upgrades like the new styling elements that align it closer with the latest developments in Lexus’s distinctive design language.

This is most visible in the signature grilles, which have been rendered wider and lower to underscore a ground-hugging look. This impression is even more noticeable in the F Sport model, which has the same mesh pattern as the new IS F Sport saloon. The vehicle will also don a new rear spoiler with integrated air ducts.

Lexus is making the most comprehensive package of improvements yet to the CT 200h range, with styling, handling and equipment changes that will make the market’s only full hybrid luxury hatchback an even more appealing proposition. The upgrades are matched by a strengthening of the CT 200h’s impressive value, with significant reductions in prices and attractive finance options that open up the prospect of Lexus ownership to many more customers.

The 2014 CT 200h range is available from £20,995 for the entry level S model, a £1,000 reduction; elsewhere in the six-strong line-up, prices have fallen by as much as £1,500.

The new model arrives accompanied by excellent finance offers to make purchase even more affordable. For example, the new CT 200h S is available from just £219 per month, and the high specification Advance model from £259 per month through Lexus Business Drive contract hire*.

Full details of the across-the-board improvements to the CT 200h will be revealed soon. They include new styling elements that strengthen the car’s road presence and align it more closely with the latest developments in Lexus’s distinctive design language. This is most noticeable in a much stronger treatment of the signature grille, which has been rendered wider and lower to emphasise a ground-hugging look.

That impression is even more pronounced in the F Sport model, with adopts the same mesh pattern as the new IS F Sport saloon. It also gains a new rear spoiler with integrated air ducts. New detailing, wheel designs and a shark’s fin antenna have also been introduced across the CT range.

In the cabin there are telling, detailed changes, including a new slimline seven-inch monitor on the centre console, a new steering wheel adopted from the new IS and a new shift lever design.

The current range of six model grades – S, SE, Advance, Luxury, F Sport and Premier – is retained, with the addition of some new equipment features and options.

At the heart of the range the Advance model benefits from a comprehensive upgrade that introduces parking sensors, heated front seats and the new, fully integrated Lexus Navigation system as standard. This wealth of new features it provided with no increase in the model’s on-the-road price.

Elsewhere in the CT 200h line-up a GPS-controlled clock is provided on higher grade models and the Lexus Navigation package is offered as an alternative to the established Premium system (standard on the Advance, as detailed above). Additional features for the Premier grade include new aluminium scuff plates and LED front fog lamps.

Going beyond the visual changes, the CT 200h benefits from strategic changes under the skin to deliver better ride quality, stability and handling. Even the way the car is built has been changed with the introduction of laser welding and body adhesion techniques that have already proved their value in the engineering of the Lexus IS and LS models.
