Lexus LFA demand exceeds the limited run of 500 units

Article by Christian Andrei, on August 27, 2010

As you may know already, the Lexus LFA was introduced back in October, at the Tokyo Motor Show and has been greeted by critical and public acclaim worldwide.

Lexus also announced that the vehicle will be produced in limited edition of just 500 units, each priced at $375,000.

Now here is the big problem according to the manufacturer the interest in purchasing a LFA supercar is already greater than the limited production run of just 500 examples.

Now don't be sad, because Lexus says that you can still register your interest up to mid-March and the end of the Geneva Motor Show, we don't exactly understand why since the demand is higher than the number of cars! The level of interest we have witnessed reinforces just what an exceptional car the LFA is.

Even though few people have even seen the car in the metal, let alone experienced its breathtaking performance, it has quickly achieved the status of a truly rare and highly sought-after machine said Devshi Varshani, the Personal Liaison Manager who looks after all LFA sales.

For those who don't know, the LFA carries a 4.8-litre V10 capable to deliver 552bhp for nought to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds and is hand built in strong but ultra-lightweight carbon fibre material.
