Article by Christian Andrei, on April 25, 2011

LUXGEN showcases at the 14th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition its intelligent electric concept, neora, as well as its lineup of intelligent technology cars -- the LUXGEN7 MPV EV+, LUXGEN7 SUV, and LUXGEN7 CEO. LUXGEN’s neora combines the company’s intelligent technological expertise with the concept of green energy to create the new intelligent electric concept.

According to Executive Vice President James Shyr of HAITEC from Yulon Group, the neora perfectly represents the Think Ahead brand spirit of LUXGEN. In addition, the new appearance of the concept will include design cues for the up-and-coming LUXGEN models.

The vehicle has a body weight of 1,600 kg, and can accelerate in 6.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, with top speed reaching to 250 km/h.

A 180kW electric induction motor propels the front-wheel-drive neora. In addition, the vehicle utilizes an integrated high-power rechargeable battery, which can support 80% of the battery charging within only one hour, as well as 48 kWh lithium-ion batteries, which can give the vehicle a range of up to 400km when fully charged.

LUXGEN’s neora also showcases a PDLC electric glass sunroof which lets the driver and the passengers enjoy the scenery and warm sunshine. Passengers at the back of the vehicle can also take pleasure in the infotainment system through an LED screen.

On the other hand, the driver has the convenience of checking valuable information on the heads-up display, as well as take pleasure in the ergonomic seating. The vehicle also has another 9-inch active intelligent information system that can exchange data with other vehicles, as well as provide directions.

The Neora has a front design that is transformed in a creative way with regards to aesthetics, aerodynamics and fuel economy. With the minimum amount of air intake area, the drag coefficient is reduced. It also enhances aesthetics and energy-efficiency alike. The state-of-the-art electric power elements concept is used on the headlights that come with illuminating inner components that create a striking, high-tech effect. The rear side lights’ larger angle highlights the body lines as well as its strong qualities.

Neora’s interior design concept is “to create inspirations in mobile life.” LUXGEN communicates its commitment to environmental sustainability by means of integrating natural and technological elements. Recycled wood presents the environmentally sustainable concept on the colors and materials by using leather in earth colors to go together with the original wood scheme.

The same raw wooden scheme, which came from non-dyed/non T processed raw materials, is also applied to the centre console. In addition to sustainability messages, interior design expresses a natural pure innocence. The application of eco-friendly trims as well as the blend of colors and materials brings a clean, green feature in which Neora and LUXGEN are committed.

All LUXGEN initiatives start with the word “Genius" while "Luxury" enjoyment is the means by which the needs are fulfilled. “Genius” means thinking ahead of its customers and thinking for them as well. LUXGEN’s intelligent technology provides everyone with a fresh, new inspiration. “Luxury" means thinking ahead of several details and to respond to human demands with respect. LUXGEN has a better prospect, which it is committed to realizing very soon.

The new Luxgen neora is provided with a front end with a revolutionary design that helps fill out three checkboxes: aerodynamics, fuel economy and aesthetics. For instance, the Luxgen neora features a minimum intake area, which helps reduce the coefficient of drag while making the concept become more energy efficient and more elegant.

Interestingly, the headlights of neora are ridden with an innovative design concept of electric power elements – like the illuminating components inside that offer a hi-tech visual effect. Since the rear side lights have a larger angle, they help highlight the body lines of neora. Inside, neora is dominated by a design concept “to create inspirations in mobile life." Luxgen is confirming its commitment to environmental sustainability by integrating natural and technological elements in neora. For example, neora employs recycled wood for its interior scheme, matched by leather in earth tone colors.

This raw wooden scheme is also continued on the center console, which is made from non-processed and non-dyed raw materials. It brings much interest that the interior features a design that conveys not only sustainability messages, but also a natural pure innocence. This comes from the fact that neora features not only eco-friendly trims, but also employs materials and colors that exude a clean green future.

At Luxgen, all initiatives commence from a "Genius," which means thinking ahead and thinking for customers. Luxgen hopes that its intelligent technology could bring a new inspiration to everyone. All these needs are fulfilled through “Luxury,” which means to think ahead on the details, and to respectfully care for the human demands.

Press Release

The intelligent electric concept, neora, is unveiled during Auto Shanghai 2011

LUXGEN shines in the Auto Shanghai 2011 (The 14th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition), with the world premiere of its intelligent electric concept, neora, and the perfect presentations of intelligent technology vehicles: LUXGEN7 SUV, LUXGEN7 CEO, and LUXGEN7 MPV EV+.

neora integrates LUXGEN's intelligent technological expertise and the idea of green energy into the new intelligent electric concept. "neora perfectly represents LUXGEN's brand spirit of Think Ahead, and the new form of appearance will be the design cues for LUXGEN's upcoming models in the future. Its streamline flow, and the innovation of lightweight, as well as fuel economy, represent the novelty of LUXGEN's energy saving future technologies. " said Mr. James Shyr, Executive Vice President of HAITEC from Yulon Group.

"To transform the cold and rigid industrial product into one of the emotional kind" is the origin of the appearance of neora. The brand DNA of LUXGEN, exquisite detail, beyond fashion, chic aesthetic, and innovation, are perfectly integrated on the design of neora, and create a strong visual effect. The unrestrained flows like arrows shooting out are softened with brand DNA and fused into the muscular lines on the side of neora. The streamline flows from the front end to the whole body, and forms into a fresh, bold, and vivid vitality.

The front-wheel-drive intelligent electric neora is propelled by the 180kW electric induction motor. Its body weight is 1,600 kg, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h can be accomplished in 6.5 seconds, with the top speed of 250 km/h. The integrated high-power rechargeable battery can support 80% of the battery charging within only one hour, and the 48 kWh lithium-ion batteries give neora a range of up to 400km when it is fully charged. The enjoyment of the cozy sunshine and scenery views is offered through the PDLC electric glass sunroof. Rear passengers can enjoy the infotainment system through an LED screen, while the driver can enjoy the ergonomic seating and benefit from the convenience of checking important information on the head-up display. Another 9-inch active intelligent information system can exchange information with other vehicles, and on the meantime provide guidance on directions.

In terms of fuel economy, aerodynamics and aesthetics, the design of the front of neora is innovatively revolutionized. The minimum intake area decreases the drag coefficient and achieves both aesthetics and energy-efficiency. A groundbreaking design concept of electric power elements is applied on the headlights, as the illuminating components inside the headlights create the hi-tech visual effect. The larger angle of the rear side lights emphasizes the body lines and its strong characteristics.

"To create inspirations in mobile life" is the design concept of the interior of neora. The commitment of LUXGEN to environmental sustainability is communicated through the integration of natural and technological elements. Recycled wood is used to present the environmentally sustainable concept on both the colours and materials by applying the leather in earth tone colours to match the original wood scheme. The centre console also applies the raw wooden scheme which is originated from non-processed and non-dyed raw materials. Aside from sustainability messages, a natural pure innocence is expressed through the interior design. While using the eco-friendly trims, the combination of the materials and colours carries a clean green future, to which LUXGEN and neora are both committed.

"Genius" is the beginning of all the initiatives of LUXGEN, and "Luxury" enjoyment is the means to fulfill all the needs. "Genius" means to Think Ahead before our customers, and to think for our customers; the intelligent technology of LUXGEN provides a brand new inspiration to everyone. "Luxury" means to Think Ahead on the numerous details, and to care on the humane demands with respect. And a better prospect that LUXGEN is committed to, is becoming a greater reality in the near future.
