Maserati and Poltrona Frau celebrate their 10th Anniversary

Article by Christian Andrei, on November 20, 2011

In celebration of their tenth anniversary as partners, luxury Italian brands Poltrona Frau and Maserati had planned an exclusive event on November 17, 2011. They had a one-off window display at the Poltrona Frau Clerkenwell showroom in London. The Maserati GranCabrio is featured in Grigio Touring silver. These companies are two of Italy’s best luxury international brand leaders in the design and automotive industry.

The Maserati model range redefines what luxury means. It combines outstanding Poltrona Frau leather upholstery with automotive excellence. The partnership has also led to the combination of traditional craftsmanship, an Italian style, and time-tested techniques. Poltrona Frau patented ‘Pelle Frau’ leather is famous globally for the high-quality hides, its meticulous production techniques and extraordinary attention to detail.

The Maserati range uses Pelle Frau leather, including the GranCabrio four-seater convertible, the GranTurismo coupé and Quattroporte flagship saloon.

It was in 2001 that the collaboration between Maserati (known for its expertise with speed) and Poltrona Frau (renowned for its comfort) started. The Maserati and Poltrona Frau both desired to make something new, sublime, and transcendent.

The quality of outfitting and customization options comes second to none. Its seats and steering wheel down to the dashboard and headliner use Pelle Frau leather, which offers the best quality due to its special 21-step tanning process.

The leather is transformed by the tanning treatment, which makes it more supple and tough but it is very soft and comforting all days of the year. In addition, Poltrona Frau leather ages well, offering an appearance that makes it worthy to be called a Maserati investment model.
