McLaren Automotive opens for business in the Nordics

Article by Christian A., on June 17, 2012

McLaren Automotive has confirmed that Autoropa is its newest retailer in the Nordics region where the 12C high performance sports car will be offered starting this month. This is the 21st market worldwide for McLaren, which had opened its first retailer in London less than a year ago. Autoropa is a fully serviced retailer, which imports and sells exclusive sports cars.

It has showrooms and service workshops in Stockholm and Malmö. It is now part of an exclusive group of companies, which are authorized to be the service partner for the McLaren F1 supercar. Aside from starting the sales of the 12C in June 2012, Autoropa will also be opening a new McLaren facility in Stockholm later this year.

According to Antony Sheriff, McLaren Automotive’s Managing Director, he is glad that the McLaren family is growing. He also said that he is confident that the Nordics region would be an “influential guide” to being more successful in Europe.

He added that retail partners need to have an understanding of the business, its potential customers, and 12C’s technological advancements. McLaren Automotive believed that Autoropa deserves the honor to be a part of the brand as it will give it a flawless introduction in Sweden as well as across the Nordic region.

Fillip Larsson, Managing Director of Autoropa said: “It is a huge honour to be part of the McLaren Automotive project. There is clearly a lot of excitement and great anticipation from customers for the brand to arrive in the Nordics. As a service partner for the legendary McLaren F1 supercar, I’ve witnessed first-hand the extraordinary level of service which McLaren offers customers. I’m very excited to now be involved in retailing and servicing the breathtaking 12C and the future models from McLaren.’’
