MINI Saville Row and Bmw X6 Performance Unlimited are ‘Big In Japan’

Article by Christian Andrei, on August 27, 2010

This is the special edition Mini Saville Row that will soon be offered in the Japanese market. The color black dominates in this hatch, with the black roof accented by polished chrome 17-inch wheels, gas cap, mirrors and trim on both the exterior and the interior.

This model also boasts of featuring privacy glass, bi-xenon headlights, white turn signal lamps and an anthracite headliner.

Only 100 samples of this vehicle will be built, with each having 1.6-liter four-cylinder and automatic transmissions, costing 3,100,000 yen ($35,028 US).

This represents a premium of about 400,000 yen ($4,519 US) over the standard Mini. Meanwhile, only 20 samples of the limited edition BMW X6 Performance Unlimited will be produced (still exclusively available for the Japanese market).

As this crossover is inspired by BMW motorsports, it gets a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder with hybrid technology running through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The body gets silver pearl paint, a BMW Performance aero package, 21-inch alloys and a blacked-out grille. In the interior, Dakota leather and brushed aluminum pedals are featured. This model is priced at 9,450,000 yen ($106,823 US).
