Mitsubishi isn’t very popular in the U.S. but recently, it has reported strong sales for its two crossovers, the 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander and the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Mitsubishi and the H360 creative services agency have designed these two crossovers to make use of active lifestyle gear to stand for the various seasons of the year and the corresponding active sports.
The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander Winter Edition has a white paint scheme as it’s intended for skiers and snowboarders. It features a special leather interior with grey suede accents and yellow stitching together with two cameras in the dashboard and center armrest to record your moves on the slopes.
The ski equipment featured on the Outlander includes a snowboard rack on the roof; all-weather floor mats; matching jackets, snow pants, goggles, and boots in the back and a ski pole-style shift knob. In addition, it has a coffee machine on board.
Then there’s the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport Summer Edition in burnt orange on the outside as well as its interior. It comes with special interior trim to match the exterior color. The package also includes several warm-weather sports equipment.
It comes with Trek mountain bikes up top and a special storage compartment in the cargo area that could carry a tennis racket, jump rope, workout weights, yoga mats, and a wakeboard vest and water ski rope in the back. No mechanical revisions were done on any of these Mitsubishi special editions.
These are actually one-off models that won’t be available for sale. To satisfy your curiosity, Mitsubishi has released a behind-the-scenes video to show their efforts in creating these special-edition active lifestyle crossovers.
