For the 13th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2014), Nissan is preparing a new sedan concept. If last year, the Japanese carmaker brought the Friend-ME Concept, this year Nissan will bring a new car that expresses its passion and focus in the world's most dynamic auto market.
Just like the Friend-ME Concept, the new vehicle was designed by Nissan Design China (NDC), Nissan's newest global design center located in Beijing. As expected, the concept car was designed under the leadership and direction of Nissan Senior Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Shiro Nakamura. Nissan will also bring at the Auto China 2014 the BladeGlider Concept, a vehicle that redefines the driving experience with its unique center seat driver position.
Moreover, Auto China 2014 will see Nissan’s Autonomous Drive technology, an extension of its Safety Shield, which monitors a 360-degree view around a vehicle for risks, offers warnings to the driver and takes action if necessary. Nissan will mark Teana’s 10th anniversary with a new 10th Anniversary Special Edition.
The all-new Nissan X-Trail will be brought to Auto China 2014 following a successful unveil in China last month. Nissan will start X-Trail sales in late March and expects to lead the growing SUV segment in China.
Nissan will showcase the innovative NV200 Xtronic transmission at Beijing. Launched in China in late February, the NV200 uses the Xtronic transmission, which reduces noise levels and fuel consumption, delivering benefits for drivers, passengers and the environment alike.
