Nissan launches two ads for 2014 Rogue marketing campaign

Nissan has kicked off its marketing campaign for the 2014 Nissan Rogue by launching a full-throttle TV commercial titled “Commute.” Created by Nissan in cooperation with TBWA\Chiat\Day LA, led by feature film director F. Gary Gray, “Commute” features the "Y.A.L.A." from global artist M.I.A.'s latest album Matangi.

The 2014 Nissan Rogue takes the hero spot in the full-packed action commercial, even engaging in daring moves like being on top of a speeding commuter train before arriving early at work.

According to Jon Brancheau, vice president, Marketing Communications & Media, Nissan North America, Inc., Rogue is now one of the key players in the compact SUV market, as it addresses both the functional and emotional needs of buyers while offering great value.

"The totally redesigned 2014 Rogue adds a new level of bold emotive styling, a premium interior created with comfort and multitasking in mind, and an array of available affordable technologies – all of which come through in these exciting new spots," Brancheau said.

Nissan launched Commute in cinemas on December 20, and in broadcast TV on December 22. The new campaign also featured an earlier spot, “Pick Up.” Both commercial spots will be featured in a prime media placement in New York's Times Square throughout January 2014, spanning five buildings.

In the same locations on New Year's Eve, during the midnight countdown, animated digital billboards will feature the 2014 Rogue. The digital billboards in the area will also showcase a film that celebrates all of Nissan's most exciting moments.
