A ground-breaking offer from Peugeot is its Peugeot 3008, a compact yet spacious crossover manufactured in Eastern France at the Sochaux plant and which has received all the values and expertise that the carmaker can offer. The new 3008 is at the crossroads between other vehicles like the SUV, MPV and hatch.
The strength of the vehicle comes from a combination of driving concepts while at the same time adopting numerous new and original technologies, such as Dynamic Roll Control, Grip Control to name a few, permitting it to merge specs that other think incompatible.
The 3008 was designed to be a trendsetter offering original solution and maximized versatility to buyers in search of the artistic yet practical together with driving pleasure.
In every area, the 3008 is opening up brand new horizons in motoring. The new car will be launched in Europe at the end of this year with five engine configurations to choose from. Included in the engine lineup are two 2.0-liter diesel powerplants, one 1.6-liter diesel, and two 1.6-liter gasoline powerplants.
Included in the options are four gearbox configurations consisting of a s6-speed manual, a 6-speed auto, a 6-speed electronically limited, and a 5-speed manual.
There are plans on the way to introduce a hybrid variant of the 3008 before 2011. Included in the Hybrid 4 concept is a 2.0-literal diesel engine paired with an electric motor. This combination achieves a 35 percent reduction in emissions and fuel consumption, Peugeot said.
