A newly styled Peugeot 107 is set for launch in February 2012. In addition to the new look, the vehicle also boasts lower CO2 emissions, enhanced equipment with upgraded interior and improved fuel economy. The stylish appeal of the 107, with its proficient economical three-cylinder petrol engine, has aided Peugeot to take the lead in low-CO2 urban motoring. This is now boosted further with emissions of only 99 g/km of CO2.
Restyled 107 is easily identifiable by the changes to the front styling of the vehicle. It has a deeper lower front panel with housing for the front fog lights, a redesigned front bumper and LED daytime running lights.
There are three trim levels on offer, in line with the restyling of the 107 range. The trim levels are also in line with the naming strategy of other Peugeot range models -- Active, Allure and Access. In these trim levels, LED Daytime running lights as well as Peugeot Connect Bluetooth and USB are now available on the 107 range for the first time.
The restyled range also provides better equipment with air conditioning now available as standard on the Active level versions, and Peugeot Connect Bluetooth and USB standard on Allure level versions. Alloy wheels and rev counter are also available. In accordance to this restyle, the new 107 implements a competitive pricing method with the range beginning from £7,995.
Perhaps surprisingly for a small car, it is the 5-door variant (with 59.6% of total sales) that outperforms the 3-door model (40.4%), highlighting the 107's excellent packaging, which makes the most of its interior space and contradicts its compact wheelbase to offer a vehicle that seats four people in comfort.
Peugeot revealed that it will be coming out with a special edition of the Peugeot 107 aimed at bringing out everyone’s feminine side. Dubbed as the "ENVY", it is expected to be a more stylish and fashionable version of the 107. It will come in either Caldera Black or Plum colors, and has special accents with a cherry blossom branch theme. Its central rev counter will be designed with the mat having the same Plum color and is braided as well as embroidered. The tailgate, bonnet, rear door will have stickers on them. An option is offered to have a style line that follows the cherry blossom branch theme.
Inside are a number of accessories that deliver comfort and allow for customization. It this therefore able to meet many of the customer’s unique needs as it can be adapted to a number of uses.
There is for instance the navigation system which allows for iPod or iPhone connection and is even retractable. In addition, it has been perfectly incorporated to the dashboard. Another distinct feature is the handbag pocket which helps to organize things or even allow for a handbag to be changed without ever forgetting the items inside. It comes with a compact and retractable hook which ensures that handbags can be kept in sight and on hand while avoiding it being placed on the vehicle’s floor.
Meanwhile, the central armrest has been fitted with a storage compartment; thus helping guarantee a pleasurable drive and even enhance comfort. Customers who regularly have leisure activities are likely to appreciate the roof bars and roof boxes that allow skis or bikes, among many others, to be transported. There are still many features and accessories that customers will discover and surely enjoy.
Giving this special edition its own unique quality, with a hint of sophistication, are some features like the mats that have “107” embroidered on them, chromed effect door sills, gear level knob with a brushed-aluminum look, and the alloy wheels.
Helping with the refinement are the badge and the door sills, which are made of aluminum. The side mouldings have been added to make sure that the bodywork is protected against impacts. Peugeot 107 is slated to be launched this coming March 2012.
