Philip Olden is Audi’s interim head of marketing in the UK

Effective immediately, a new acting Marketing Head appointed by Audi UK, will take the place of Peter Duffy, who is leaving the company in a few weeks. Philip Olden joins the Audi UK Headquarters. He is a premium brands specialist who has handled some senior marketing positions in various prestigious international brands.

He is now working side by side with Duffy, who will turn over his work before he leaves the company in February. Olden is reporting straight to Director of Audi UK, Jeremy Hicks, who says that Audi is among the fastest growing brands in the UK.

That is why they need only the best staff in each field of expertise to propel this success. He adds that they have decided to take their time to get a long term replacement for Peter Duffy, who has had a remarkable impact on their communications standards during his last three years of service.

Also, they are very lucky to have the expertise of Philip Olden who was with them for as long as possible until the time they can come across their permanent candidate. During his time of stay, they shall be taking advantage of his brand skills to the fullest.

When it comes to sales, Audi takes the top spot in Western Europe. In 2010, it sold more than 1 million units, nearly 100,000 of which from the UK. Its status image rankings as well as its sophisticated communications campaigns have gained its reputation for technical expertise.

Audi Appoints A New Interim Head Of Marketing

Audi UK has appointed a new interim Head of Marketing, starting immediately, to take over from Peter Duffy, who leaves the company in the next few weeks.

Philip Olden, a premium brands expert who has held a number of senior marketing roles across a range of prestige and luxury international brands, joins the marketing team at the Audi UK Headquarters. He is currently working alongside Peter, who will hand over his responsibilities before leaving the company during February.

Philip is reporting directly to Jeremy Hicks, Director of Audi UK, who comments: "Audi is a very fast-growing brand in the UK and we need the very best staff in each specialist field to drive this success. We have decided to take our time to secure our long term replacement for Peter Duffy, who has had a tremendous impact on our communications standards over the last three years.

"We are very fortunate to have the considerable expertise of Philip Olden with us for as long as it takes to identify our permanent candidate and we shall be taking full advantage of his prestige brand skills during the time he is here."

Audi is the sales leader in Western Europe, posting in excess of one million sales worldwide in 2010, close to 100,000 of which found UK owners last year. Its prestige image ratings and sophisticated communications campaigns have marked out the Vorsprung durch Technik brand in the UK.
