Ladies and gentlemen, this is your 2015 Mercedes-AMG GT, the second sports car developed in-house by Mercedes-AMG after the SLS AMG. Built as a rival for the mighty Porsche 911, the new Mercedes-AMG GT is inspired by the SLS AMG but arrives with no gullwing doors and a completely new rear end. If the front end resembles the SLS AMG, the rear end is completely new and sexy, reminding us of a future 911.
Both front and rear ends get LED technology. Moreover, the front end features large air intakes in order to optimize the flow of air to the M178 V8 engine, while the A-wing with front splitter in the lower third of the front apron makes the vehicle look low-slung and wide.
On the Mercedes-AMG GT the front splitter is painted in the body colour, while the GT S model gets it with a high-gloss black, so it will not be a problem in recognize the version if you see one on the streets.
As an option, the vehicle is available with the Exterior Silver Chrome package, the Night Package and the Exterior Carbon-Fibre package. The rear end features stylish LED taillamps, a black air diffuser insert with integrated tailpipes and a trim strip in matt iridium silver, which is inspired by the A-wing in the front. The interior was already shown here, so it’s not something new.
