Sports car maker Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG posted an 18.2-percent year-on-year increase in global deliveries in February 2013 to 10,454 new vehicles. The German sports car maker has already sold 22,515 cars new vehicles in the first two months of 2013, translating to a growth of over 20 percent compared to the same period in 2012.
Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing of Porsche AG, quipped that Porsche was successful worldwide in February again. He said that the carmaker expects more stimuli from its ongoing product offensive in the next few months, which currently focuses on the pan-European launch of the new Porsche Cayman and the exhibition of the new 911 GT3 at the Geneva Motor Show.
The sports car makers logged a 30.5-percent year-on-year increase in deliveries in the United States in February 2013 to 2,805 vehicles. Porsche recorded a 17.5-percent year-on-year hike in deliveries in February 2013 in China to 2,689 vehicles.
At its German home market, Porsche posted a 13.1-percent jump in February deliveries to 1,197 vehicles. Among Porsche models, attracting the biggest number of global buyers in February 2013 is the Porsche Cayenne sports utility vehicle, 5,637 of which were delivered to customers around the world. The sports car maker also delivered 1,951 Porsche 911s and 953 third-generation Boxsters in February 2013.
