Porsche enhances European Delivery Program, now offered with no extra charge

Article by Christian Andrei, on March 4, 2012

Porsche Cars North America has revised its European Delivery Program to give customers the chance to buy their new Porsche automobile from any participating authorized Porsche dealer in the United States and to take delivery of their newly purchased vehicle at their selection of one of the two Porsche factories in Germany.

The program is now provided at no extra charge to the customers. It also includes access to discounted airfare and hotel accommodations. Once they arrive in Germany, the customers are given complimentary transport service from the airport to either the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen or the Leipzig facility.

The Leipzig is where the Panamera Sport Sedans and the Cayenne SUVs are manufactured while the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen is where the popular 911, Cayman and Boxster sports vehicles are made. However, the customers can choose either of the two locations regardless of the vehicle model they purchased.

A factory tour is offered in both sites, enabling the customers to personally see how a Porsche unit is built. Those who opt to visit Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen can gain access to the Porsche Museum, where they can see a display of the evolution of Porsche sports and race cars through a span of at least half a century.

Those who choose the Leipzig site can have the chance to test a Cayenne SUV off-road or to drive a range of Porsche models on the Test Track. Customers will be provided with a comprehensive presentation of their new Porsche in an exclusive setting conducted by a trained specialist. They will then be presented with the keys to their new automobile.

Special photographic opportunities are also available with the "Porsche Diamond," which is the main building at Leipzig, or the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart as a backdrop.Customers can then drive their new Porsche, which is fresh from the factory, on the autobahns and roads of the region.

In addition, the program lets the new Porsche owners to either tour Europe or to remain in Germany for at most two weeks in order to discover the countryside and cities where the exhilarating performance and one-of-a-kind design of Porsche were inspired from.

The comprehensive program began on February 1, 2012. It includes factory delivery and all the related activities such as temporary insurance, winter tire usage if needed, and registration. Delivery to the United States is also included and can be processed by either of the two factories. Those who want further details on the program can contact any authorized Porsche Dealer or visit porsche.com/usa.
