Production of Vuhl 05 to commence in November

Article by Anita Panait, on August 23, 2013

Mexican carmaker VŪHL Automotive will start building its VŪHL 05 lightweight mid-engined supercar in November 2013 following its successful global public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. VŪHL Automotive director Guillermo Echeverria remarked that their aim at Goodwood was to get sufficient orders for a batch of 20 ‘Edition One’ (top specification) models. He said that following enquiries from the United Kingdom, central Europe, USA and Mexico, VŪHL Automotive is on the way to reach the target number.

Echeverria remarked that the first VŪHL 05 will be delivered to their owners during the spring of 2014. He said that the VŪHL 05 “is just as appealing to those wanting an ultra-cool car for the road as the serious trackday enthusiasts seeking an alternative to the offerings of more established manufacturers.” He remarked that that enthusiastic feedback they have received “has been very rewarding.”

Echeverria said that people generally love the 05’s distinct design, build quality and highly competitive power to weight ratio. VŪHL Automotive unveiled the VŪHL 05 supercar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, displaying a complete car and separate chassis. The Mexican carmaker also had Mexican F1 rookie Esteban Gutierrez hold a demonstration of an example of the supercar. [source: Vuhl]
