Renault Sandero Stepway Concept unveiled at the 2010 Sao Paolo Auto Show

Article by Christian A., on October 28, 2010

Official images of the Sandero Stepway Concept were recently released. The model, which is based on the Stepway version of the Dacia or Renault Sandero, was designed by Renault's Brazilian unit. This model is actually intended to make more of a visual impact rather than be seen as a performance concept.

At the Sao Paolo Auto Show, this model will be displayed with a bluish halo, which is given off by the headlights and fog lights. This bluish halo is said to be the expression of the model's green attributes.

The sides of the car are decorated with stickers – hinting of the potential personalization schemes if the car gets the green signal for production.

This modified body kit, which was especially created by the French manufacturer for the concept, features modified front and rear bumpers, side skirts, front grille and extend to the ground through the alloy wheels.

Unfortunately, the carmaker has yet to provide the images of its interior or give further information about it. This is a crucial detail since Dacia models are known to be reliable but not having good quality interior.

Renault said that the model is equipped with a 1.6l 16v Hi-Flex engine that delivers 112 hp. The engine fitted by Renault runs on ethanol.
