Rendered Speculation: Mercedes-Benz CLC-Class is a stylish four-door coupe

Article by Christian Andrei, on February 18, 2014

Audi has the A5 Sportback, while BMW recently introduced the 4-Series Gran Coupe. But, what about Mercedes-Benz? Although the German carmaker didn’t reveal any plans for an upcoming four-door coupe based on the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Remco Meulendijk decided to make a rendering.

The result is quite impressive and we admit that if Mercedes-Benz would build this vehicle, we would be the first to buy it. As you can see from the photos, the Mercedes-Benz CLC-Class is inspired by the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe, featuring a sexy rear end with stylish taillights as well as frameless doors.

The front end would be identical to the C-Class, which means it will feature the H7 halogen headlamps as standard or the optional LED Intelligent Light System.

Same engines powering the saloon could also be found on the CLC, meaning that we could see the brand new 1.6-liter dour-cylinder petrol engine rated at 156 hp, the 2.0-liter petrol engine with 184 hp, the six-cylinder petrol engine that generates 333 hp or the 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 170 hp.

The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class starts at 33,558 Euros in Germany, which means that the CLC-Class would carry a price tag of over 40,000 Euros.
